WorkSafe NZ

WorkSafe NZ (formerly the Health and Safety Group within the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment) administers the Health and Safety in Employment (Adventure Activities) Regulations 2011.

Under the regulations, some operators providing adventure activities must be registered with WorkSafe NZ. To be registered, operators must first pass a safety audit. OutdoorsMark meets WorkSafe NZ requirements.

To find out more read the information for operators on the WorkSafe NZ website.

SupportAdventure is a website developed by TIANZ with the support of Outdoors NZ in response to operator feedback during the Adventure Tourism Review. The SupportAdventure website and guidance materials provides operators with a centrally located, credible source of safety guidance that supports their effort during start up and ongoing reviews of their safety management systems.
